This workshop will provide an overview of the current state of enrollment, retention, and completion in nursing education. We will discuss best practices while leveraging clinical judgment as a strategy to retain students and improve new graduate transition/safe practice.

Overview of the data - “First things first!”: Enrollment, retention, and completion numbers.
Enrollment: Examine the current student enrollment crisis. Explore ways to increase enrollment into nursing programs.
Retention: Using the clinical judgment framework, we will explore ways to increase retention in nursing programs.
Completion: Encourage educators to support students through graduation and into practice.
