Effective April 2023 the NCLEX-RN and NCLEX-PN exams will be changing to incorporate more direct and expansive measurement of clinical judgment. The changes will reflect the culmination of more than a decade of research, including the development of a large-scale clinical judgment measurement model, several new item types, and a variety of partial credit scoring methods. In this session, Jason A. Schwartz, MS, Director of Outreach at NCSBN, will not only provide a comprehensive overview of the upcoming changes but also provide the research basis and rationales for the various changes so that attendees will not only understand what's changing but also how and why. Generous time for attendee questions will be allocated as well.
