During the pandemic, most nursing educators transitioned to using virtual simulations in their courses. As a result, we now have robust anecdotal and research evidence to support the use of experiential learning experiences like virtual simulation. A key question we now need to address is: What does the future hold for virtual simulation in nursing education? This presentation will describe emerging trends and present evidence- based ways to integrate and evaluate virtual simulations in your course. We will also discuss faculty development requirements for using virtual simulation. Lastly, you will have an opportunity to share your thoughts on the future of virtual simulation in your program/courses.
