An estimated 6.5 million Americans over the age of 65 are living with Alzheimer’s dementia today, with the progressive neurologic disorder listed as the fifth-leading cause of death among that demographic. A recent survey revealed low awareness of mild cognitive impairment (MCI) among Americans, who are reluctant to see their doctors for related symptoms, illustrating the need to improve MCI awareness and diagnosis. This session will explore the latest updates and clinical challenges in Alzheimer’s/dementia.
