Early recognition of stroke symptoms by the public and first responders enables clinicians to begin timely treatment, giving patients the best chance for survival with the least amount of long-term brain injury. Furthermore, an immediate investigation into the mechanism of stroke allows for the prompt initiation of appropriate secondary preventative therapy. This session will explore the latest updates and clinical challenges in stroke and other types of vascular disease.
