Defining and measuring resilience from a bio-psycho-social perspective has proven to be challenging and service systems struggle to develop strategies to support and build resilience as part of their guiding philosophy and concrete interventions. Gain better understanding of the various definitions of resilience, key individual and environmental resiliency factors that promote successful coping and functioning among adults and youth and core common elements across resiliency building interventions. We’ll also present an illustration of a recently developed resiliency building resource designed to empower adults.
