Nesha Breashears is the Senior Director of Talent Management and Diversity, Equity & Inclusion for Thresholds. She has been with the agency over 25 years and has worked as a practitioner, manager, educator, evaluator and consultant in the mental health field. Nesha has trained extensively, internal and external to Thresholds on topics, which include cultural competence and humility, implicit bias, anti-racism, understanding mental illness, substance use, boundary issues, leadership and crisis management. As a Diversity, Equity and Inclusion leader at Thresholds, Nesha prioritizes relationship building and promotes belonging, works to attract diverse talent to key positions, and is working to design and implement effective DEI strategies into organizational practices. Current areas of interest include studying the impact of collective trauma on those with mental health conditions and impact of implicit bias in the workplace. Nesha strives to articulate the subtle nuances involved in successfully delivering clinical best practices with a DEI lens and is dedicated to teaching these skills to others.
