Victoria (Vikky) Gurske is an Associate Clinical Social Worker with Interface Children & Family Services, a non-profit organization committed to providing comprehensive mental health and trauma treatment. As the program manager for Phoenix Project, she oversights services and staff who provide mental health and trauma treatment services to children in grades K-12 and their families, who were present in Ventura county during the Thomas and Woolsey wildfires of 2018. She has a passion for working in school-based clinical services and thrives on supporting young people to reach their full potential. Vikky knew she wanted to work with youth 10 years ago when she became a mentor for Big Brothers and Big Sisters of Ventura County. She graduated with a master's degree in social work in 2017 and has been a leader in advocating for children ever since. Vikky is trained in TF-CBT (Trauma focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy), CBITS (Cognitive Behavioral Therapy in Schools), and Triple P (Positive Parenting Program) among others. Outside of work, she enjoys mindfulness, walks with her best friend (an English Springer Spaniel named Bella), travel adventures and quality time with loved ones.
