MEGKIAN DOYLE is the Executive Director of Mountain Shadow Association, a Native American 501c3 whose mission is to support families in their journey toward healing until every Apsaalooke child grows up in a home of abundant peace and well-being. Many of you know Megkian as a former Lodge Grass High School teacher, Montana State University professor, Director of the Caring For Our Own Native American Nursing program, or in her current role as Director of the Regional Community Action Team at One Health. Dr. Doyle previously served as the Director of the Raising Places initiative, a 9-month human-centered design project that brought community members from Lodge Grass together to focus on family-centered strategies for key community challenges. For the past four years she has worked as the Program Director for One Health's Regional Community Action Team overseeing the community-based work supporting families with young children who have also been impacted by mental health and substance use disorders. She has directed the Rural Health Opioid Project, the Regional Community Opioid Response Planning and Implementation grants and the RCORP Psychostimulant grant in Big Horn, Rosebud, and Custer Counties. Megkian brings experience working with organizations across the community and the state to grow supportive networks, build consensus, and share vision. She is adept at building teams, managing projects, and coaching her staff to achieve excellent results. Dr. Doyle has significant experience working in cross-cultural contexts with diverse populations and in the fields of nursing and microbiology research. Currently, Megkian supports peers working as members of integrated behavioral health teams through the Meadowlark Initiative across clinical sites in five counties and through two drop in centers located in Hardin and Lodge Grass.
