Jennifer Hilton serves as the director of training and knowledge transfer for the WestCare Foundation, Inc., a family of nonprofit behavioral health and human services organizations operating in more than 20 U.S. states and territories. In her role, Hilton coordinates knowledge development opportunities for WestCares workforce (1,600+). All of WestCare’s seminars, workshops, webinars and online elearning courses are managed by Hilton. Her educational background is steeped in psychology and social service business administration. She is a certified trainer in multiple programs such a Mental Health First Aid (MHFA), Youth Mental Health Frist Aid (YMHFA), Crisis Prevention Intervention (CPI) and several Living Works curricula (e.g., SafeTalk). She has taught crisis intervention and de-escalation techniques for more than a decade. As a certified MHFA instructor, Hilton has helped to increase mental health awareness in numerous sectors, including, but not limited to: social services, health care, law enforcement, criminal justice and the general public. She is a passionate teacher who advocates for special populations including U.S. military veterans, law enforcement officers, LGBTQ+ individuals and their families. As a native of Las Vegas, she is the chairperson for the Nevada Coalition for Suicide Prevention (NCSP) working in her community to help achieve NCSP’s Zero Suicide goal. Hilton has a BA in psychology from the University of Nevada, Las Vegas.
