Alexander/a L. Bradley, MPH (he/they/she) is the Outreach and Community Education Manager at HIPS in Washington, DC. They first joined the HIPS team in 2015 as an overnight outreach volunteer, and became a staff member in 2018. In their current role, they are responsible for managing HIPS' outreach programs -- including sex worker mobile outreach, syringe exchange, the 24-hour hotline, and overdose prevention services. They also lead a variety of both internal and public-facing trainings on subjects such as the principles of harm reduction, opioids and overdose response, LGBTQIA+ identities, trauma and micro-counseling, and safer sex / substance use practices. In addition to their program management responsibilities, they continue to participate in providing direct services to the communities served by HIPS, and also play an active role in HIPS' policy and advocacy efforts, including the movement for sex work decrim and the #DecrimPovertyDC campaign to decriminalize personal use drugs in the District. Alexander/a earned their MPH from The George Washington University and Bachelor's degrees in Psychology and Government from Cornell University.
