Julie Bailey serves as the clinical manager of outpatient therapy services at Centerstone. Her first career was in funeral service. She was a licensed funeral director and co-owner of Bailey Funeral Home in Vienna, Ill., before returning to school to complete a degree in clinical mental health counseling. The years she spent walking alongside grieving families made grief counseling a natural niche for her when she entered the mental health field. Bailey often provides grief training for other clinicians since the need for grief services is continuing to grow rapidly.
Her ultimate life goal is to help as many people as possible. In addition to her work at Centerstone, she also writes articles for her website, Navigating Life (juliebailey.net), as well as providing content for a Centerstone column. She maintains a social media following on a professional Facebook page ("Perspective"), as well as several other social media platforms, where she publishes daily tips, insights and life support for her readers. She enjoys public speaking, teaching, and promoting empathy, kindness, and positivity. She has almost finished writing her first self-help book entitled "What Now?! What to Do When Life Has Beaten You Down."
