David West serves as the associate director of Integral Care’s Integrated Systems of Care. In this role, he oversees Integral Care’s four Adult Integrated Behavioral Health Clinics. Having previously served as practice manager for Integral Care’s largest Integrated Behavioral Health Clinic since 2014, he has developed an extensive history in clinic administration.
West has also been leading Integral Care’s Trauma-informed Care (TIC) Implementation Initiative since it began in February of 2016. This TIC Initiative, which began through a formal learning community in consultation with the National Council for Mental Wellbeing, recently celebrated a six-year milestone.
While he maintains a general focus on expanding access to care, TIC Implementation has enhanced his attention toward the quality of the care being provided. Consequently, West initiated Integral Care’s Counseling Services Expansion Initiative over four years ago, which has resulted in a significant increase in providers who are trained and credentialed to provide services grounded in evidenced-based practice. He has also served on Integral Care’s Workforce Quality and Satisfaction Committee and on the Leaning and Development Committee for the past five years.
West’s prior experience includes having served as program manager for Integral Care’s initial Assertive Community Treatment (ACT) Team and was previously an ACT specialist on that team while pursuing his LCSW. West began his career as a Licensed Chemical Dependency Counselor and had early opportunities to work in a variety of capacities, including direct service provision, program management and outreach.
