Karen Franchino is senior consultant for the Mental Health and Wellness initiative at Kaiser Permanente’s Care Management Institute. She is particularly interested in reducing the stigma associated with mental illness, leveraging technology as a tool for improving care and promoting trauma-informed approaches to care. Franchino holds a Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of Wisconsin, Madison and a dual master’s degree in social welfare and public health from the University of California, Berkeley.
