Ayesha Delany-Brumsey, PhD is the Director of the Behavioral Health Division at the Council of State Governments Justice Center. In that role, she oversees a portfolio of work focused on reducing incarceration and improving outcomes for people with behavioral health conditions and people experiencing homelessness. She previously served as the director of Behavioral Health Research and Programming at the New York City Mayor’s Office of Criminal Justice and as the director of the Substance Use and Mental Health program at the Vera Institute of Justice. She received her doctorate in clinical psychology from University of California, Los Angeles.
