Sean Lynch currently serves as forensic manager at Community Support Services in Akron, Ohio. A lifelong resident of Northeast Ohio, he graduated from the University of Akron with a Bachelor of Arts in psychology and a minor in forensic psychology. While working as a case manager at Community Support Services he earned his Master of Science in clinical mental health counseling from Walden University. He then served as a case management supervisor by day and a therapist in private practice by evening to gain hours for an independent license. In his current role as forensic manager, Lynch leads the clinical and administrative operations of the Forensic Treatment Programs at Community Support Services, including the mental health court, forensic assertive community treatment and conditional release/NGRI programs. He is also a trainer in the Recovery Enhancement Practices for Psychosis Program, co-chairs the Justice, Equity, Diversity and Inclusion Committee and is active in the Quality Improvement and Research and Outcomes Committees at Community Support Services. He also serves as an independent consultant with the Northeast Ohio Medical University, where he assists with training therapists and case managers to more effectively treat individuals who experience psychosis. Lynch is an active member of both the North American Cognitive Behavior Therapy for Psychosis Network and the American Mental Health Counselors Association. He is a CAMS-trained provider and recently earned recognition as a Certified Forensic Mental Health Evaluator through the National Board of Forensic Evaluators.
