Dana Foglesong, MSW, NCPS, CRPS, is the national director of recovery and resiliency services for Magellan Healthcare. She joined Magellan in 2015 as a director for a Medicaid mental illness specialty plan in Florida. Prior to Magellan, Dana worked for the Florida Department of Children and Families in the Office of Substance Abuse and Mental Health and founded the Peer Support Coalition of Florida. In her leadership roles, Dana utilizes her professional experience and lived experience with recovery to transform policy and practice, deliver data-driven innovation, and work for the meaningful inclusion of people served and their families in the design, implementation and evaluation of systems and service delivery practices. Dana currently serves as the president of the board of directors for the National Association of Peer Supporters. She is a former member of the National Council’s Addressing Health Disparities Leadership Program and executive committee board member for the National Alliance on Mental Illness. Dana is a published author and co-author of peer and non-peer reviewed publications with a specific research interest in peer delivered and whole health approaches within integrated health settings. She is a nationally certified peer specialist and holds a master’s degree in social work from the University of Central Florida.
