Jessica Matyka is the clinical director at the Rushford Center, a Hartford Healthcare partner. She has worked at the Rushford Center for nine years and oversees many of the Local Mental Health Authority services in Meriden including mobile crisis, respite, jail diversion, the forensic services including the NGRI/PSRB population and several other community support programs. Matyka is skilled in the development of new programs and has been instrumental in the development of MORR – an opioid overdose referral and treatment program and Zero Suicide 101 – a new hire orientation program, Behavioral Health Home and Young Adult Services. She has also developed community partnerships with local police and first responders to improve access to behavioral health crisis services for the community including currently working to implement 24/7 mobile crisis services and an embedded clinician within the police department. Under her leadership, programs at Rushford have excelled in ensuring that all internal and external goals are met and always focuses on safety and risk at both the micro and macro levels. She consistently looks for opportunities to improve processes for the organization. Matyka is also a faculty member at University of St. Joseph’s School of Social Work where she works as a preceptor for MSW student interns.
