Prof. Jim Lucey is a clinical professor of psychiatry at Trinity College Dublin (TCD) and a consultant psychiatrist at St. Patrick’s University Hospital in Dublin, Ireland. From 2008 to 2019 Prof. Lucey served as medical director of St. Patrick`s Mental Health Service (SPMHS), Ireland`s oldest and largest independent not-for-profit mental health provider.
Prof. Lucey was formerly a governor of St Vincent’s Psychiatric Hospital (HSE) in Fairview Dublin, a member of the Health Committee of the Irish Medical Council and a member of the board of the Mental Health Commission of Ireland.
He has more than 30 years’ experience in clinical and academic psychiatry. Previous clinical appointments include consultant psychiatrist at Connolly Hospital (HSE) Dublin and consultant psychiatrist with responsibility for psychiatric intensive care at St. Bartholomew’s Hospital (NHS), London.
