Racial equity should be paramount to us all and recent social justice movements over the past two years have motivated our actions for change. Allyship is complex and multidimensional and it plays an integral part in creating a fairer, more inclusive environment. Allies support LGBTQIA+ rights, fight to normalize mental health conditions, advocate for BIPOC communities and more. This panel of leaders from varied backgrounds will have a spirited conversation providing real-life examples of how to be an effective ally and identifying ways to move allyship into action with justice as the ultimate goal.

Learning Objectives:

Identify foundational concepts for allyship, such as privilege, leadership privilege, power, oppression and marginalization.
Engage in personal reflection around your own power and privilege and identify opportunities to show up for others.
Discuss frameworks and mental models for speaking up in challenging situations and making an impact as an ally.
Demonstate when to step back and when to step up to move allyship into action.
