Billierae Engelman (she/her) is currently a Residential Decarbonization Fellow with the Building Technologies Office at the US Department of Energy. She focuses on residential building decarbonization, energy efficiency, affordable housing, and equity. Prior to her work with US DOE, she managed the Massachusetts Low Income Multifamily Energy Retrofits Program, a ratepayer funded utility energy efficiency program. She has a Master's in Public Policy from the Heller School at Brandeis University and a Bachelor's in Anthropology from University of California, Santa Cruz. In her free time, she enjoys good food, film photography, vinyl records, and reading books.
