Dr. Thomas Culp is the owner of Birch Point Consulting, LLC which provides engineering and strategic consulting services in the areas of energy efficient window performance, building code development, glass performance, and glass coatings. He is co-vice-chair of the ASHRAE 90.1 standards committee, and chair of the Envelope & Embodied Energy subcommittee of the IECC commercial consensus committee, representing the National Glass Association and the Aluminum Extruders Council. He has been involved in several DOE research projects including demonstration of glazing retrofits for existing buildings, and is a consultant to Pacific Northwest National Laboratory on various windows and building envelope programs.
