How to Do Healthy Home Assessments

The goal of the workshop is to provide a strong foundation of the concepts and principles for performing effective assessment of environmental health and safety risks in homes. The workshop is divided into 3 parts:

Part 1: Healthy Home Principles

Overview: Intro to the Healthy Housing Principles and the evidence-based actions to address common home hazards.

Part 2: Home Environmental

Assessment: Introduction to an environmental assessment process and an example protocol that anyone can learn to use.

Part 3: Home Environmental Assessment Practice: A hands-on, interactive practice of a home assessment in class using photos and real-world case examples for the class to go through. The class will be divided into teams who will work together to assess one of a few case scenarios of a client and their home.
