In January 2021 President Biden issued Executive Order 14008, establishing the Justice40 Initiative and a goal to deliver at least 40% of federal investments to disadvantaged communities. After an introduction to Justice40 and what it means for the Weatherization Assistant Program, DOE will discuss two priority issues for advancing energy justice: targeting services to high energy burden households and braiding leveraged funds to maximize benefits and address deferrals.

Develop plans to target WAP services to high energy burden households and enhance braiding of leveraged funds
Explain best practices for modeling braided funds using a computerized energy audit
