This Roundtable Discussion will help to inform and advance current BPA workforce initiatives by gathering insights from YOU! The session will inform BPA's efforts to: (1) Develop an action plan for continuously incorporating feedback and involvement from members across the country via working groups, with a focus on systematically and meaningfully advancing diversity, equity and inclusion (DEI) in the industry; (2) Identify regional/state hubs that can “report up” and feed into a national workforce development and DEI strategy; and (3) Match workforce problems to solutions via information sharing and advancement of BPA’s learning and professional development hub.

Discuss the historic, current, and potential future barriers to building a diverse, equitable, and inclusive HP workforce
Learn about current examples of successful workforce development and DEI efforts at the local level
Hear from other BPA members about the challenges they are experiencing finding and training employees and learn about current BPA workforce development policy and program activities at the federal and state level to help address workforce and DEI challenges
