The weatherization world is rife with insider speak, oddly specific language, and more acronyms than ASHRAE needs to complete a proper MVL. How do we as crews, inspectors, and auditors communicate these complex concepts and ideas in a way that brings the homeowner into the process instead of alienating them or making their eyes glaze over. During this session, we'll look at a few ways to communicate large ideas simply as well as working together to create some new ways to address this age old issue.
Learning Objectives:
By attending this session, attendees will:
Identify areas where individual concepts are frequently misinterpreted by clients or are not communicated in an understandable way
Develop short cuts, simple explanations, and quick references to distill large ideas into digestible parts
List three concepts that can now be defined in the simplest way possible
