One and two-part portable foam systems (“kits and cans”) are used by do-it-yourselfers, contractors, and spray foam installers alike. These versatile disposable products allow users to do small and/or intermittent applications where bulk foam installations are not cost effective. If you use kits and cans, do you find that the one-part foam sealant is still soft and gooey when you go to trim it? Do you find yourself having a lot of chemical left in one of the tanks when you run out of the other chemical? Does this reduce the amount of foam you get from a kit because you can’t use all of the material? Wouldn’t you like to optimize your yield! This program introduces the various foam formulations and delivery system options available in kits and cans, and demonstrates a variety of applications. How these systems work and why they can be problematic is discussed in detail. Instruction about how to properly prepare and use kits and cans is provided, along with photos and demonstrations of accessories that improve their efficiency and effectiveness, while maintaining product quality and convenience. Case studies demonstrate the use of the accessories in various applications.
