Since 1993 Matt Gibson has worked in areas of nursing, such as the emergency department, ICU/telemetry, home infusion and long-term care, where vascular access was a primary and essential skill. In 2000, he realized his passion for vascular access and decided to seek out full-time opportunities. Over the last decade, Matt furthered his commitment to the vascular access field by serving national and local vascular access organizations, assuming leadership positions on multiple committees as a resident advisor and authoring the Detective Dane Chronicles. Currently, Matt works with multiple organizations as a vascular access consultant and speaker. Matt hold CRNI ®, VA-BC and CPUI credentials. His commitment to vascular access is steadfast by serving on the AVA PIV task force. He is also the chief executive officer of Vascular Access Consulting, LLC, the past president and founder of KIVAN and current president of MIVAN.
