Dr. Alex Mills (he/him/his) is a board-certified ambulatory care pharmacist and credentialed HIV Pharmacist through the American Academy of HIV Medicine. He earned his Doctor of Pharmacy degree from Purdue University in 2017, completed a PGY1 community-based residency with Walgreens and Purdue University in Indianapolis, Indiana, followed by a PGY2 specializing in ambulatory care with The University of Mississippi School of Pharmacy (also known as Ole Miss). He is currently faculty at the University of Mississippi School of Pharmacy. Alongside his faculty and clinical responsibilities, Dr. Mills serves as director of clinical operations for the University of Mississippi Medical Center's "TEAM" clinic, which provides primary and multidisciplinary gender-affirming care to persons of the LGBTQ+ community. He also is co-director of the Center for Sexual and Gender Minority Health for the University of Mississippi Medical Center, which serves to improve clinical care, health education, and research that enhances the lives of sexual and gender minorities. His clinical and research interests include the management, knowledge, attitudes, and practice of serving sexual and gender minorities, emphasizing persons living with HIV.
