BIOGEN
Amy Demske has more than 25 years of federal and state health policy and government affairs experience. Currently, Amy leads the Federal and State Policy at Biogen. In her role, she is responsible for representing Biogen before the Executive Branch and federal agencies. For the last year, she led Biogen's efforts on the National Coverage Determination for Monoclonal Antibodies Directed Against Amyloid for the treatment of Alzheimer's.
Prior to joining Biogen, Amy spent four years at Bristol-Myers Squibb in a similar role. Prior to going in-house, she spent thirteen years at the life sciences law firm, Arent Fox, representing biopharma and device manufacturers before CMS and Capitol Hill. She did similar work at two DC-based boutique firms, where she led healthcare practices. Amy worked in the legislative affairs group at the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services during a time of active collaboration with Congress. She started her career working in the Florida Legislature and for Governor Lawton Chiles, leading the legislative team at the Florida Agency for Health Care Administration.
Amy received her B.A. from George Washington University in Political Communication and studied Public Administration at Florida State University. She resides in Maryland with her husband and two teenagers.
