Mark W. Mikhael, Pharm. D., Chief Pharmacy Strategy Officer for CarePathrx | SPI-Orlando, graduated from Florida A&M University with his Doctorate in Pharmacy in 1999. He started his career as a pharmacist in home infusion where he spent his first 6 years ending up as Regional Director of Pharmacy for the state of Florida for a large home infusion company. He then entered into the world of Sterile Compounding where he spent the next 7 years. He dealt with all the regulations regarding both USP <797> and cGmp for the nation’s largest outsourcing compounder. In April of 2013, he returned back to Home Infusion as Vice President of Operations and then moved on as Chief Pharmacy Officer for ProHealth Pharmacy Solutions which manages operations for hospital-based home infusion companies. He was appointed to the Florida Board of Pharmacy in October of 2013 where he sat on the sterile compounding committee and served as Vice Chair and Chair to the Board under Senator Rick Scott and Governor DeSantis. He completed his 2 terms in November 2020. His passions are the charity he founded in 2005 called Give Hope Foundation which has raised close to 2 million dollars for Children with cancer in Central Florida. Dr. Mikhael currently sits as Board President of Theatre South Playhouse, a non-profit community driven theatre company. He also founded the Asterias Movement in 2020 whose mission is to empower, motivate, and facilitate healing to members of the homeless population.
