System Compounding Specialist and Clinical Pharmacist

Lisa is the System Compounding Specialist and a Clinical Pharmacist with Children’s Health System of Texas, where their flagship hospital is Children’s Medical Center of Dallas. She graduated with a BS in Pharmacy from the University of Oklahoma College of Pharmacy, and is Board Certified in Sterile Compounding Pharmacy.
She is active in several professional organizations and has spoken around the world on issues pertaining to compounded medications, compounding standards and regulations, and compounding pharmacy practices to improve the safety and quality of compounded medications. She is co-author of Trissel’s Stability of Compounded Formulations 6th ed.
From the time she started as a pharmacy technician the art and science of compounding medicines has been a part of Lisa’s career for over 40 years. She has practiced in retail, home infusion, hospital, drug information, investigational studies, is a preceptor for students and residents, and leads the Children's Pharmacy Compounding Compliance Team.
