Competency is a major part of training employees to perform their jobs. We test competency to be sure employees do their jobs without causing harm to patients. But competency is not just for pharmacists and technicians doing sterile compounding. What about the drivers? the nurses? the intake coordinators? the purchasers? the specialty pharmacists?
Learning Objectives:
Identify at least four positions that need to confirm competency to perform their jobs.
Develop competency checklists for applicable employees.
Meet the accreditation requirements for measuring the competence of their employees.
