Liability Landmines: Learning from Three Case Studies

Examine three case studies of high-risk situations for schools – an at-will employee termination, sexual abuse allegation and overnight field trip – and walk through risk management steps from three different expert perspectives: legal, insurance and operations. The case studies will give the audience a chance to chart their own safe path through hidden (and not so hidden) liability landmines. Explore best practices for schools to mitigate risk that are consistent with their school culture and community.
