Kelley Thompson started as a NICU nurse 16 years ago and has been a NNP for the past 9 years. She received her BSN from Purdue University and her MSN from Rush University. She works as a Nurse Practitioner at Community Hospital in Munster Indiana that is a 32 bed level III NICU. She currently is the chair of NANNs Membership Committee and has been hosting NANN Connections. Kelley has shared her tips to “Surviving your first year in the NICU” on NANN NICU knowledge Share Series on You Tube. Kelley gave birth to her first child 9 years ago, she was born at 37 +5 days and had to be airlifted to a level IV NICU for body cooling, and spend 15 days in the NICU. Kelley feels that she can now relate to parents and the emotions that are going through during their NICU stay.
