Liz Drake MN, NNP, RNC-NIC, CNS, C-ELBW has been practicing in the NICU for 40 years. She received her Master’s Degree, Neonatal Nurse Practitioner and Clinical Nurse Specialist certification from UCLA. Teamwork, Quality Improvement, caring for the extremely low birthweight infant and neuroprotective care are her passions and expertise.. She has a strong desire to teach all members of the healthcare team about the uniqueness and language of the premature infant. As an active clinician, she focuses on how every touch and relational experience we have with the premature infant and their family can have impact.
Through team building, education, academic thinking and direct patient care Liz has a tireless focus on excellence. Her focus is to create passion and desire in others to practice with intention, purpose and to practically integrate evidence into the care provided to infants and families. Liz is a driver for quality improvement initiatives and actively involved with the California State Quality Collaborative
She’s also a published author, a nationally recognized national conference presenter, consultant and Co-owner of Engagegrowthrive and co-developer of the Small Baby Care Specialist Program.
