Michele Savin DNP, APRN, NNP-BC is affiliated with Thomas Jefferson University and Nemours Children’s Health System. Dr. Savin has worked with children and families throughout her nursing career, including 30 years as a Neonatal Nurse Practitioner. A certified nurse educator and program director, she is responsible for the growth and development of novice NNP’s from around the country at the Jefferson College of Nursing NNP program. Her clinical practice is a busy level four Mid- Atlantic NICU. Michele has a passion for consumer/parent education and works to help nurses educate families. She believes that every nurse should look for the why behind the what in practice. Some of Michele’s volunteer work includes presenting on various neonatal topics locally and nationally, as well as being a SIG Faculty leader and review editor for NANN.
