I am Lauren Schenck, M.S., a graduate student researcher from the University of Memphis currently completing a clinical placement at Semmes Murphey Clinic in their Neuropsychology Department in Memphis, TN. I am in the process of applying for internships for my final year of clinical training, with the goal of pursuing a career in clinical neuropsychology. I have a background in cognitive neuroscience and clinical health psychology. My previous research areas of focus include electrophysiology, pain conditions and quality of life, healthcare engagement, and stress management. More recently, I have pursued research experiences in neuropsychology, and my dissertation is focused on the use of race-based normative practices and their effects on disability assessment.
