My name is Justin D. Misterka, Psy.D and I am currently a Neuropsychology Postdoctoral Fellow at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center and I am presenting on behalf of the neuropsychology team at Staten Island University Hospital | Northwell Health. The current project was completed during my internship year at Staten Island University Hospital in the neuropsychology service line and reflects a collective effort by the neuropsychology and medical team, as the patient received extensive evaluation and treatment from multiple disciplines. The current case study analyzes the neurocognitive and psychological profile of a 57-year-old hospitalized long-COVID patient after 42 days on a mechanical ventilator in March 2020 prior to proven vaccines and current interventions. The patient is one of the only COVID-infected individuals in the U.S. who were on a ventilator for that long and survived.
