Hello! My name is Nicholas ("Niko") Amitrano, and I am a 5th-year graduate student in Wheaton College's PsyD program for Clinical Psychology, Neuropsychology track in Wheaton, IL, just outside of Chicago. Professionally, I am passionate about working with older adults and am greatly interested in performing dementia and capacity evaluations for people experiencing various neurodegenerative disorders. For example, I am currently placed as an advanced neuropsychology practicum student within Rush University Medical Center's Parkinson's Disease and Motor Disorders Program, where I perform cognitive evaluations with individuals experiencing various motor disorders. I also have previous advanced practicum experience giving dementia evaluations within the University of Chicago Medical Center's outpatient neuropsychology clinic. My research interests include executive functioning, performance validity, and dementia with co-morbid mood disorders.
