Yolanda C. Leon, Psy.D, ABPdN, is a Neuropsychologist, Board Certified in Pediatric Neuropsychology and an Assistant Professor in the Division of Neuropsychology in the Department of Neurosurgery and Brain Repair at the University of South Florida Morsani College of Medicine in Tampa, FL . Dr. Leon serves as Co-Chair of USF Neuropsychology Fellowship Training Program. One of her greatest and most gratifying professional rewards is mentoring talented, brilliant, early career clinicians. She is of Cuban heritage and is profficient in Spanish. Dr. Leon earned her doctorate in Clinical Psychology from Florida Institute of Technology - School of Psychology, a program accredited by the American Psychological Association (APA). She completed specialty training in Neuropsychology during her Doctoral training and completed an APA approved Clinical Psychology internship with specialty training in Neuropsychology. In addition, she completed a postdoctoral Residency in Neuropsychology at Winter Haven Hospital. She has 30 years of experience in the specialty area of Neuropsychology with subspecialties in Pediatric Neuropsychology and Bilingual assessment. Formerly a School Psychologist, Dr. Leon holds Masters and Educational Specialist Degrees from the University of South Florida. She enjoys spending time with her family, horses and cats on her farm, cooking, and anything involving Cuban and Latino culture.
