Dr. Johnson is a rehabilitation psychologist and research scientist in the Health Promotion Research Center at the University of Washington School of Public Health. Since 2008, Dr. Johnson has been an investigator in the CDC-funded Managing Epilepsy Well Network, where she has led investigations of the efficacy and effectiveness of self-management programs including Project UPLIFT and PACES in Epilepsy. She is presently engaged in work to adapt these programs for unique and under-served populations including veterans, adolescents, and people of Hispanic descent. Outside of this work, Dr. Johnson also maintains a clinical practice where she evaluates and treats individuals with neurological, sensory, and orthopaedic disabilities.
