Anny Reyes, MS, MA is a neuropsychology intern at Emory School of Medicine and doctoral candidate at the SDSU/UC San Diego Joint Doctoral Program in Clinical Psychology. She will be starting a post-doctoral fellowship in neuropsychology and neuroimaging at UCSD in Fall 2022. Anny’s research interests include examining cognitive diagnostic frameworks in epilepsy, exploring the cognitive heterogeneity in epilepsy, and understanding and reducing epilepsy-related health disparities. Clinically, Anny is interested in cultural neuropsychology and offering clinical services to Spanish-speaking patients. She is passionate about diversifying the field of neuropsychology and has developed several initiatives focused on providing students with novel research and professional networking opportunities, increasing diversity within neuropsychology, and promoting student mentorship. She is the associate director of the Society for Clinical Neuropsychology Student Leadership Program, student representative for the International League Against Epilepsy (ILAE)- Equity, Diversity, and Inclusion Taskforce, co-directs the Society for Black Neuropsychology Mentorship Program, and is a co-founder of KnowNeuropsychology and the Cultural Neuropsychology Council. For her efforts in diversity, equity, and inclusion, she has received the UC San Diego Department of Psychiatry Trainee Champion of Diversity and the inaugural JDP Contribution to Diversity Award.
