Gifted Education Program Teacher

Jason Clarke is an Advanced Placement Language and Composition teacher, Gifted and Talented Program teacher, and debate coach at Fort Collins High School in Fort Collins, Colorado. His passion is helping students achieve their fullest potential by accelerating them to the highest levels of academic achievement of which they are capable. He earned his PhD in Educational Technology from Colorado State University in 2016. He used the experience of writing his dissertation as a model for a student-directed research program for gifted and talented students at his school. In the program students design and conduct a research project in the field of human sciences in which they write research questions, recruit human subjects, conduct research, analyze data using both qualitative and quantitative methods, write a research report, and present their findings to audiences of fellow students, parents, and administrators. He lives in Fort Collins with his wife and daughter and their two dogs and cat. His oldest son attends UC San Diego in La Jolla.
