Colin is the Founder and CEO of thinkLaw, a program that uses real-life legal cases to teach critical thinking to all students.
Colin Seale’s passion for teaching began 20 years ago, when he started his own tutoring business in his Brooklyn, NY hometown. Colin furthered his passion for education as a middle and high school math teacher and Teach for America corps member at Paul Public Charter School in Washington, D.C. after earning his B.S. in Computer Science and minor in African American Studies at Syracuse University.
Colin later earned his Master’s in Public Administration from the Maxwell School of Citizenship and Public Affairs at Syracuse University and completed graduate-level coursework in secondary education and economics. As a Management Analyst for Clark County, NV’s child welfare agency, Colin helped to transform the foster parent licensing process. Colin later returned to the classroom, teaching middle and high school math at the Andre Agassi College Preparatory Academy charter school while attending law school at the William S. Boyd School of Law at the University of Nevada, Las Vegas, where he graduated magna cum laude as a part-time evening student.
Prior to founding thinkLaw, Colin practiced litigation and intellectual property law at Greenberg Traurig, where he was voted one of Nevada’s Best Up & Coming Attorneys on the list of the 2014 “Legal Elite” in Nevada Business Magazine. Committed to public service, Colin serves as a pro bono attorney for the Children’s Attorney Project, representing children in the foster care system, serves on the boards of the Nevada Partnership for Homeless Youth, the Nevada STEM Coalition, and the Charter School Association of Nevada and is the past Treasurer of the Las Vegas Chapter of the National Forum for Public Administrators and the Theta Pi Lambda Chapter of Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity, Inc.
