Dr. Christine Briggs is currently an Associate Professor in Curriculum and Instruction and Director of the Center for Gifted Education at the University of Louisiana at Lafayette where she teaches courses in the Masters in Gifted Education, Masters in Curriculum and Instruction programs, Exceptional Learners Concentration in the Educational Leadership doctoral program and leads graduating seniors in education through an inquiry project to address classroom challenges. Her professional contributions include her most recent book Agents of Change: Guiding Teachers to Use Inquiry to Identify Challenges and Seek Solutions, serving as the Chair of the National Association for Gifted Children (NAGC) Curriculum Studies Award, and a member of the NAGC awards committee. Her research interests include: under-representation of diverse students in gifted programs, curriculum design and differentiated instruction.
