Director of Research
The Grayson School, Pennsylvania
Jill Williford Wurman is Director of Research at The Grayson School, Pennsylvania’s first and only independent school designed specifically for gifted learners in grades PreK-12, where she is also on the founding team. Grayson graduated its first senior class in June 2022.
Her role at Grayson requires her to be familiar with gifted education scholarship relevant to the Grayson community, including academic performance, parenting, pedagogy, social-emotional development, longitudinal outcomes, and best practices in gifted education. With two other founders, she co-authored a chapter for the University of Denver’s Perspectives in Gifted Education series: Legal Issues in Gifted Education (volume 7).
In addition to speaking at NAGC, she has presented on giftedness at conferences organized by the World Council for Gifted & Talented Children; Supporting Emotional Needs of the Gifted (SENG); Pennsylvania Association for Gifted Education (PAGE); MIT’s SPARK and SPLASH programs; and at the American Psychological Association’s national convention regarding summer programs for the gifted.
