Kristen Seward (B.A. English Education/Gifted Endorsement, M.S. K-12 School Counseling, and Ph.D. Educational Studies/Gifted, Creative, & Talented Studies) is a professor and Associate Director of the Gifted Education Research & Resource Insitute (GER2I) at Purdue University. With over 17 years in K-12 schools as a teacher, at-risk counselor, and guidance director, she teaches undergraduate and graduate classes and supervises graduate students in GER2I's year-round academic enrichment programs for PreK-grade 12 students. Kristen assists parents, students, and K-12 educators with various issues related to raising and educating gifted students. Her research interests include the social-emotional needs of gifted students, gifted education in rural contexts, gifted education teaching and learning for all students, and professional development.
