Short description: This session shares multiple research-based strategies, methodologies, and best practices for providing students opportunities to be creative in the mathematics classroom by using open tasks. Participants use their creativity to develop original exploratory mathematical tasks and activities that are structured just enough to support students in academic risk-taking, creative thinking, and mathematical learning.
