Short description: This presentation discusses the role of biofeedback in promoting talented college learners' relaxation. We present protocols that might teach talented participants how to reduce their stress levels using a noninvasive finger sensor supported by an app. We believe that talented students trained to control their movement, respiration, and thoughts can lower their electrodermal activity (a reliable indicator of stress responses).
Learning Outcomes: Participants will:
Understand how wearable machines might teach talented people to control stress
Understand the role of stress control in talent development during career transitions
Learn about talent development conceptual frameworks that reinforce the importance of self-regulation for talent development
